Indy has such soft fur and soulful eyes. It was so easy to get lost in my studio for hours painting her. It was an honor to meet Indy and photograph her for painting references for this and many more future paintings. I also got to meet her amazing staff and many of Indy’s lovable fuzzy friends.
Indy stole many hearts when she was rescued and placed with the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center. She was rescued from an individual trying to sell her on Facebook. She was found in a tiny dog cage kept in a closet. A far cry from her natural instincts. Bengal Tigers are meant to travel long distances which can be up to 200 square miles at a time.
Thanks to the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center, Indy continues to have many happy, wild adventures. Indy is now growing and thriving at the Wildcat Sanctuary in Sandstone, MN.
